The Gospel

What is it? How do I receive it?

I am so excited that you are on this page, more so than the product page! My mission with Abednego's Coffee House, above all, is to point people to Christ.  If you have never received Christ into your life, please take a few minutes to read the information below from my dear friend and brother in the Lord, Pastor Adam Riehle:

Spending eternity in heaven is promised to everyone who has a relationship with Jesus Christ. The question is, what do you need to know to have a relationship with Him?

1) Believe that Jesus died for your sins and was buried.
1 Corinthians 15:3-4

“For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried..”

Sin separates us from God. The Bible says that the wage of sin is death. (Rom. 6:23) However, Jesus died for your sin. (Rom. 5:8) God is offering you a free gift, and that gift is forgiveness of sin and eternal life in Jesus Christ.

2) Believe that Jesus rose from the dead and was seen.
1 Corinthians 15:4-6

“He was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, 5 and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. 6 Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time…”

Jesus’ resurrection is the victory! He was victorious over death. He was victorious over humanity’s sin, and when you believe in Christ, you share in His victory. The Bible says that your old life of sin passes away, and your new life is raised with Christ! (2 Cor. 5:17)

What do you need to do to begin a relationship with Jesus?

3) Trust Jesus as your Savior and Lord.
Romans 10:9-10

“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.” (Romans 10:9-10)

Remember, heaven is promised to everyone who has a relationship with Jesus. Will you trust Him as the Savior and Lord of your life?
